After working for dealerships for the last 35 years, Corky says, "I felt it was time for an old fashoned repair shop where you could talk to the mechanic and feel secure in the fact that you would be treated fairly."

Corky's Muscle Car Performance was conceived because, in this day and age, it's becoming more difficult to find an honest, dependable automotive repairman. Also, many shops refuse to work on older vehicles because of the difficulty when locating parts.

OUR GOAL is to keep your vehicle running at it's best without selling you parts and services you don't need. We do top quality work and always warranty what we do here. OUR CUSTOMER’S safety is of the utmost importance to us. If problems are detected, we let you know, to allow you to make an informed choice as to when to take care of it without the pressure to have the work done right away. If the needed repair would present a serious driving hazard, we would suggest immediate action be taken.

OUR TECHNICIANS, Corky and his son, Tim, perform general automotive repair, transmission repair and transmission service on most makes and models of automobiles, vans & trucks. (Excluding European models). We are a family owned and operated business. Our service manager, Russ, is a long time friend of the family and will be glad to help when you call or come in.

PERFORMANCE TUNING & REPAIR of high performance "MUSCLE" cars from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's is our specialty. We offer a wide variety of “in house” services including:

Engine Rebuilding (custom or stock)

Transmission Rebuilding and Service (high performance or stock)

Rear Differential Rebuiding (installation of aftermarket gear ratios, spools, limited-slip, etc…)

Suspension and Steering Service (ball joints, struts, springs, tierod ends, control arm bushings)

Custom Gauge Installation (tired of hitting your leg on that gauge console, let us neatly position it hiding the wires and incorporating it into your interior, with a professional fit and finish.)

Wanting something no one else has? We can fabricate brackets , do engine swaps without all of that ugly left over wiring, overdrive conversions, etc. Just because it’s not common dosen’t make us shy away, WE CAN FIND A WAY TO MAKE YOUR DREAM A REALITY.

RESTORATION of CLASSIC & ANTIQUE vehicles is another of our specialties. We have recently restored a 1968 "General Lee" Dodge Charger to it's former glory.

CLASSIC CAR SLIDE SHOW, above, is just some of the great Classic Cars our loyal customers have brought in for repairs and service. As we meet new customers and repair their cars we like to get at least one photo of these pieces of American history to keep on display here or on the wall in our shop. We truly enjoy and get great satisfaction from working on these wonderful older cars.

THE DRAG RACING VIDEO ABOVE is Corky's 1967 Plymouth Barracuda in an actual race. He rescued this car back in the late '70's from a salvage yard and completely rebuilt it himself. Other than the paint job (it's had two), he has performed all the body and mechical work on his car. Corky's still racing and participated in the 2008 SE Summit Racing ET Series, as a member of the Gainesville Raceway Team, held at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, on October 8th, 9th & 10th.
