I believe that we have not yet seen so much as the tip of the iceberg, concerning the dangers to the American and World economies, as well as our business. Small business in the essential foundation for a successful solution to our long - term problems, and yet there has never been a more treacherous landscape for us. Small Business, not big money, big lenders or big government, will provide the engine that will pull us out of this chaos, and into a New Economic Order. This is life and death, folks, and we’d better recognize as such, or we will be little more than a than a footnote in history. From the start, the model for American business has been wide and shallow: there were lots of small businesses, and precious few that were, “too big to fail”. Now, the banks are being bailed out so that they can bail out huge business interests. That model is doomed. Why didn’t our government pay the monies to small business, so that we could, in turn, pay off the lenders? That way, the lenders would have been paid in full, and small businesses would have had unimpaired credit to keep our economic foundation strong. Our economy used to look like a pyramid: wide at the bottom, narrow on the top. In the last decade, our economy resembled a tube, or a tower, with big businesses – lots of them – perched at the top. Is it any wonder that it all came crashing down? The 9/11 fall of the Towers was a preview of what was to come, not just a tragic event. We have a plan, and that plan will work, but it will demand that you possess two qualities: you must have a total COMMITMENT to the success of your businesses and you must be WILLING to do what it takes to get there. This is not the survival of the fittest; it is survival of the willing, and those with the courage and tenacity to see it through.
