Your first step is an assessment with your personal trainer. This will include a physical measurement of body fat, weight, measurements, and a thorough evaluation of your goals.

A proper assessment is essential to the personal training process. Any personal trainer who doesn't offer an assessment is somebody you want to run from, not hire! Without having a good idea about how your body functions, and your personal goals, there is no way a trainer can design a specific program catered to the needs as a client. You want the best results, right?

Your assessment is one of the most important tools in designing your fitness and nutritional program. A typical training session is a half hour long, but this will depend on your program and your goals.
